One of the many island perks is drastically cutting down on transportation costs. Because Coronado is so walkable, you could go your entire trip and only need to schedule a ride to and from the airport.
To help you out, we priced out a few different transportation companies for 25 people from the airport to Coronado Island. While prices may vary, this gives you a solid baseline to start planning out your trip.
EZ Ride Shuttle loves working with student groups, so they work to give college teams a good price. They charge approximately $50 per van. For 25 people and luggage, they recommend three vans, totaling $150 for a one-way trip.
Ease of Use: Someone picked up on the first call and we had a quote within minutes.
Through an online pricing system, we found two options for large groups. Five Star Transportation has a mini bus that seats up to 32 people or a chartered bus seating up to 54 people. They allow for one bag per person. The mini bus option comes in at approximately $280 with the chartered bus totaling $480 one-way.
Ease of Use: It’s an online reservation and the quoting system is fairly intuitive. Since most bookings are to the airport, the auto default is set to an in-town pick up and airport drop off. Make sure to select “From Airport” when building out your route.
Prime Time Shuttle typically does individual shuttle rides to the airport, but when you connect with their team they can create a custom group quote. For 25 people, they recommended three vans. Vans came in at approximately $78 a piece, totaling $234 for a one-way trip.
Ease of Use: We asked about group bookings via their website chat box and had the rep share a manager’s email. We received the full quote by the end of the day.
