International Teams

BBMAC in Coronado, California has become a favorite training location for many international swimming teams.

Part of the draw comes from the moderate weather that has average highs around 72 °F (22 °C) and lows rarely below 55 °F (13 °C). Another part of Coronado’s appeal is that the San Diego International Airport is a 15-minute drive away and has many direct flights to the world’s transportation hubs throughout Europe and the Pacific Rim. In the past coaches from international teams have noted how close Coronado is to many local attractions and also to those throughout southern California. Further, they have commented on how important it has been for their students to learn to deal with long-haul flights that so easily disrupt the body’s normal rhythm. They have found that Coronado is the ideal location for them to bring teams for training.

Beyond this, Coronado is safe, easy to navigate, affordable, and quite comfortable for all visitors. For more general information about training in Coronado please visit our Train at a World Class Pool in Paradise page.
