The competition pool can be set up either as a long course with eight lanes of fifty meters, or as a short course with twenty lanes of twenty-five yards, or two full size water polo courses. The competition pool temperature is 79- 80 degrees with a depth of 7ft 0in. The instructional pool is six lanes at twenty-five yards. The instructional pool temperature is 86 - 87 degrees and ranges in depth from 3ft 6in - 5ft 6in. The instructional pool does have a handicap lift available. The instructional pool temperature is historically lowered to match the competition pool temperature from mid-December - mid January to accommodate visiting athletes. Our combined locker room and restrooms easily accommodate a full complement of several hundred swimmers, coaches, and visitors. We have indoor and outdoor showers available for use. We have lockers in each restroom that can be locked (you must bring your own lock). Parking is street parking only. There are no meters within the general area and is first come first serve

 In addition to the pools, BBMAC has direct access to a weight room and track-and-field facilities of the Coronado High School. Many coaches choose to take their team to the world-famous Coronado Beach, rent bicycles, kayaks or stand-up paddle boards to explore our beautiful city.

We are quite flexible in providing exactly what your group needs. Most often, teams rent a portion of our pool. This option can include rentals for as little as a few days and up to several weeks. Otherwise, you are welcome to rent the entire facility as is common for large groups training for days on end and for organizations which want to host a swim meet or water polo tournaments. We will do everything to accommodate your group and encourage you to plan well in advance.
