About Coronado, CA.

The City of Coronado is a seaside community located in San Diego County. Surrounded by the San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean, Coronado is a peninsula which is connected to the mainland by the Coronado Bridge and the Silver Strand, a sandy stretch of highway. Coronado is home to two US Naval bases, North Island Naval Air Station and the Naval Amphibious base, the training ground for Navy SEALs. Covering 13.5 square miles, Coronado has a resident and Navy population of about 23,000. Southern California weather provides year-round possibility for outdoor activities. The average summer temperature is 76 degrees F (24C) with the average winter temperature rarely dipping below 60 degrees F (15C). Coronado offers breathtaking views, beautiful beaches and the world-famous Hotel del Coronado. 
 

Safe and Conveniently Located

The City of Coronado is a full-service city with its own police and fire departments. The sidewalks are wide and can accommodate foot traffic to the many restaurants, markets, shops and cafes around the city.  The city is safe, walkable and easy to navigate. There are designated bike and walking paths throughout the city, making it easy to explore the beauty of both the beach and the bay. The Coronado Ferry offers quick trips across the bay over to downtown San Diego as well as to the Convention Center. The San Diego Airport is less than 3 miles from Coronado.

Coronado offers a variety of hotels and motels with a wide-range of affordability and are within a 5-20 minute walking distance to the BBMAC. Some offer free Continental breakfasts and/or kitchenettes in the rooms for convenience.
