Downtown: Little Italy and the Gaslamp District
Downtown San Diego is small but worth a few days of exploration. Two of the most visitor friendly areas are Little Italy and the Gaslamp District.
Football and Baseball Games
If you are lucky enough to visit during the summer or fall you are invited to experience a baseball game by our San Diego Padres in their downtown ballpark, Petco Park. Also, if you’re around during the fall and early winter feel free to head up to L.A. to see the Los Angeles Chargers or Los Angeles Rams play a football game in SoFi Stadium.
A great day trip outside the city of limits of San Diego is not complete with an afternoon in La Jolla, Del Mar, Solana Beach, or Encinitas. Each of these towns on the north coast of San Diego County offer beautiful views of the grand Pacific Ocean. Along the way you find the famous Southern California beach culture.
